  1. Hello,

I’m getting in touch from Watkins Media to tell you about the latest book by Anthony Peake, who I think would be a great fit for another interview on Higher Consciousness.

The hottest topic in science and philosophy these days is the relationship between physical reality and the inner workings of consciousness. The boundaries are constantly being pushed on our perceived limits of consciousness, and an exciting and provocative new book, by one the leading writers in the field of Noetic Sciences, addresses the science behind this belief.

Opening the Doors of Perception, by Anthony Peake, delves into altered states of being, such as bi-polar disorder, Alzheimer’s, autism, schizophrenia, and more, looking at the science and psychology behind them. In a fascinating exploration, the author argues that people with these conditions are actually experiencing an opening of their perception, offering them a wider window into reality than others realise.

In 1954 Aldous Huxley’s hugely influential book “The Doors of Perception” was published. The title was taken from William Blake’s 1793 book “The Marriage of Heaven and Hell”, in which he observed:

“If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro’ narrow chinks of his cavern.”

Taking this idea a step further, Anthony uses the latest studies in science, neuroscience, and psychology to show how certain neurological processes can bring people into an opened perception of reality, which is different from what most people experience.

Anthony is an acclaimed author who has written many books, including The Out-of-Body Experience and The Infinite Mindfield. He speaks at global conferences, hosts his own radio show, and recently appeared as an expert on a French and German national documentary about Philip K Dick.

His latest book will appeal to anyone interested in consciousness, parapsychology, psychedelics, psychology and psychiatry, and unusual phenomena.

The book is a unique and revelatory approach to subjects much debated and discussed in society and the media today, and makes for fascinating features on unusual approaches to reality and mental health, on the merging of science and philosophy, and Anthony is available for interviews about how he came to explore these ideas and the implications of his conclusions.

Opening the Doors of Perception is being published alongside a re-release of the author’s book The Out-Of-Body Experience in September 2016. Please let me know if you’d be interested in either book or in any further information.

    All the best,
    Jillian Levick
